摘要: In the present work, we investigated effect of salt stress on distribution safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) antioxidant system in relation to leaf age. The study was carried out under growth chamber conditions using seedlings three cultivars which were subjected 0 and 50 mM NaCl for 3 weeks. Leaf growth, water content, lipid peroxidation, phenolic compound (total polyphenols, total flavonoids, proanthocyanidins) concentration measured at two stages (young old leaves). affected by salinity only Kairouan cultivar that also showed a significant decrease content. By contrast, Gabes Tazarka maintained their content constant reduction young leaves. This could be attributed higher aptitude latter use absorbed sodium chloride osmotic adjustment leaves, keeping potassium specific functions. Salt-induced peroxidation observed whereas accumulation major compounds saline except where no difference found between stages. A variability cultivars. better behavior salt-challenged leaves compared may related particular flavonoids shown efficiently involved restriction salt-induced oxidative damages.
