摘要: Abstract Aims There are many biological investigations for determining an effective cure the dysfunction of gastrointestinal tracts, using herbal medicine. It has been reported that Carum Copticum is a bactericidal agent and possesses anticholinergic, antihistaminic b-adrenergic stimulatory effects in some tissues. However, these on mechanical activities isolated intestine not clearly identified yet. The present study designed to find out specific activity rat's ileum. Materials Methods In this ileum contraction was recorded through tissue chamber organ bath by isotonic transducer oscillographic device. effect extract acetylcholine induced evaluated. Results Our findings showed 1% aqueous reduces basal contractile also reduced 40% its maximum response. inhibitory action similar but slower than atropine sulfate. Conclusion results
