摘要: Background In recent years, the Kraepelinian dichotomy has been challenged in light of evidence on shared genetic and environmental factors for schizophrenia bipolar disorder, but empirical efforts to identify a transdiagnostic phenotype psychosis remain remarkably limited. Aims To investigate whether spectrum disorder lie with overlapping non-affective affective psychotic symptoms. Method Multidimensional item-response modelling was conducted symptom ratings OPerational CRITeria (OPCRIT) system 1168 patients disorder. Results A bifactor model one general, dimension underlying symptoms five specific dimensions positive, negative, disorganised, manic depressive provided best fit diagnostic utility categorical classification. Conclusions Our findings provide support including dimensional approaches into classification systems directly measurable clinical cross-disorder investigations psychosis.
