摘要: In Neurospora crassa only two white collar (wc) mutants, wc-1 and wc-2, have been described that seem to be insensitive light. The pleiotropic phenotypes of these mutants suggest they represent central components blue light signal transduction. WC proteins several characteristics transcription factors consistent with an involvement in transcriptional control light-regulated genes. Here, we present a biochemical analysis WC1 WC2 polypeptides N. crassa. Using specific antisera against WC2, respectively, the subcellular localization was investigated. protein localized exclusively nucleus, whereas detected both nuclear cytoplasmic fractions. shown independent dimerization between proteins. addition, are phosphorylated response phosphorylation dependent on functional proteins, which clearly indicated correlation light-dependent function signaling. However, light-specific revealed different kinetics. transient stable under constant conditions. wc-2 epistatic relationship for acting downstream transduction pathway
