Luminescence properties of Mn5+ in a variety of host lattices: Effects of chemical and structural variation

摘要: The optical spectroscopic properties of Mn5+ doped into ten host lattices have been studied. influence both chemical variation [phosphates(V), arsenates(V), and vanadates(V)] structural (spodiosites, apatites, Li3PO4‐type salts) on the luminescence is studied in detail. By varying lattice, position sharp band can be varied from 8300 to 8960 cm−1. Excited state splittings, lifetimes, sideband intensities are correlated with geometrical distortion MnO3−4 tetrahedron. In all lattices, originates 1E excited at temperatures. It essentially unquenched room temperature apatite whereas spodiosites up 90% may quenched temperature.
