摘要: The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical significance S100A4 mRNA expression in pancreatic cancer. We obtained invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) cells from ten lesions, intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) 20 and normal tissues by laser microdissection frozen tissues. was examined microdissected formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples 87 cancers quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. IDC expressed higher levels than IPMN (P = 0.002) (P < 0.001), although difference between not statistically significant (P = 0.070). Analysis FFPE revealed that high significantly associated with a shorter overall survival (P = 0.023). In immunohistochemical analysis, extent correlated protein (P = 0.028). could be marker for malignancy tumors poor prognosis patients
