摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter summarizes the extracellular and intracellular cell-mediated killing of protozoa. Cell-mediated immunity is an important host defense mechanism against protozoal infections. The effector cells directly involved are neutrophils, macrophages, and, ultimately, activated macrophages. Effector from different animal species may be more or less effective in controling a certain infection. Different protozoa differ their susceptibility to according genus, species, strain, morphological form. examines means by which gain entry into cells, conditions under vivo vitro survival multiplication as opposed stasis cidal activity have been demonstrated for various genera, known mechanisms killing, parasites evade even most potent these mechanisms, genetic control host's resistance infection
