摘要: This study examines the nature of citations to articles that were retracted in 2014. Out 987 found ScienceDirect, an Elsevier full text database, we selected all received more than 10 between January 2015 and March 2016. Since retraction year was known for only about 83% articles, chose concentrate on recent citations, certain appeared after cited paper retracted. Overall, analyzed 238 citing documents identified context each citation as positive, negative or neutral. Our results show vast majority are positive despite clear notice publisher's platform regardless reason retraction. Positive can be also seen due ethical misconduct, data fabrication false reports. In light these results, listed some recommendations publishers could potentially minimize referral studies valid.
