摘要: The sudden disruption of excessive placental supply with fluids and electrolytes is challenging for neonatal physiology during the period postnatal adaptation. Different from many other nutrients, body experiences large changes in daily requirements first 7-14 days, on hand does not tolerate conditions excess deficiency very well. Imbalances fluid are common neonates, which--in addition--might be further aggravated by NICU treatment procedures. Therefore, electrolyte management can one most aspects care premature infant. An understanding physiological adaptation process to extrauterine life--and how immaturity effects that transition--is basis which needed understand manage balance infants. This chapter addresses (concerning potassium, sodium chloride) preterm
