摘要: Abstract Changes in the extracellular levels of dopamine (DA) and its metabolites dopaminergic terminal regions, medial frontal cortex (MFC), nucleus accumbens (NAC), striatum (STR), were measured by microdialysis during self-stimulation forebrain bundle (MFB) rats pretreated with DA uptake inhibitor, nomifensine (1 mg/kg, i.p.).Self-stimulation MFB nomifensine-pretreated caused an increase level MFC NAC but not STR. Self-stimulation also increased concentrations main metabolites, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DOPAC) homovanillic (HVA) to a similar extent lesser Thus, there was regional difference neurochemical changes following either or showing larger DA, DOPAC, HVA than Furthermore, these observed on both hemispheres ipsilateral contralateral stimulation. The results indicate that preferentially activates mesocorticolimbic systems, thereby bilateral increases release metabolism being produced their NAC.
