摘要: Abstract Silicone additives are often added to coating formulations for improved slip and mar performance. However, the relationship between chemical structure of silicone slip/mar their performances has not been well understood. In current study, six different made gum dispersions or polyethers were investigated. Micron-sized (G1 G2) result in lowest coefficient friction highest resistance a waterborne acrylic coating; however, they also lead surface roughness gloss. The submicron-sized dispersion (G3) results smaller improvement performance much detrimental impact on All (P1, P2, P3) contribute compared dispersions, but have minimum gloss coatings. Studies by AFM XPS demonstrate coatings with micron-sized segregation whereas silicone. A strong correlation is observed.
