Induction of a High-Yield Lovastatin Mutant of Aspergillus terreus by 12C6+ Heavy-Ion Beam Irradiation and the Influence of Culture Conditions on Lovastatin Production Under Submerged Fermentation

摘要: Heavy-ion beams, possessing a wide mutation spectrum and increased frequency, have been used effectively as breeding method. In this study, the heavy-ion beams generated by Heavy-Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou were to mutagenize Aspergillus terreus CA99 for screening high-yield lovastatin strains. Furthermore, main growth conditions well influences of carbon nitrogen sources on production mutant original strains investigated comparatively. The spores A. irradiated 15, 20, 25, 30 Gy 80 MeV/u 12C6+ beams. Based contents fermentation broth, strain designated Z15-7 has selected from clone beam. When compared with strain, content broth 4-fold. Moreover, efficiently when strain. maximum yield lovastatin, 916.7 μg/ml, was obtained submerged cultured chemically defined medium supplemented 3% glycerol source, 1% corn meal an organic 0.2% sodium nitrate inorganic source at °C shake flask. result shows that beam irradiation is effective method terreus.
