Hence to address limited data Ethiopia on post infections, we conducted this research determine prevalence antimicrobial susceptibility patterns aerobic bacteria post-surgical infected patients Ayder teaching referral hospital, Mekelle, Ethiopia. Hospital based prospective cross sectional study was carried-out 128 who had undergone general orthopaedic wards, showed symptoms infection clinically from January June 2012. Prevalence Post-operative rate current 75% seen 102/123(82.92%) leaving clinicians few choices drugs patients. This underscores periodic surveillance etiologic agent antibiotic prevent further emergence spread resistant pathogens.
