摘要: Background and Objectives: We evaluated the effect of adding dexamethasone to ropivacaine for supraclavicular brachial blockade. The primary endpoints were onset total duration sensory motor block, quality analgesia, analgesia. Materials Methods: Eighty patients age group 20-50 years, scheduled various elective orthopedic surgeries on forearm around elbow under block divided into two equal groups in a randomized, double-blinded fashion. In R (n = 40), 30 ml (150 mg) 0.5% + 2 saline; RD (8 given. Motor times, durations, intraoperative analgesia recorded. Results: Demographic data surgical characteristics similar both groups. time was earlier as compared (P 0.05). mean pulse rate at different intervals statistically insignificant between > Conclusions: Dexamethasone added plexus prolongs postoperative
