摘要: We report a rare case of esophageal schwannoma with high uptake radiotracer on [18F]fluoro-2-deoxy-d-glucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET). A 37-year-old woman underwent surgery for sarcoma the uterus and received general PET examination postoperative follow-up, which revealed at thoracic esophagus. Esophagography, endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasonography, computed (CT) scan confirmed submucosal tumor, about 20 mm in diameter, right wall upper performed thoracoscopic enucleation preoperative diagnosis leiomyoma or gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). Histopathological showed trabecular arrangement spindle cells no evidence mitosis. Immunohistochemical studies were positive S-100 protein negative c-kit, whereby we diagnosed benign schwannoma. Even if benign, schwannomas often show FDG, so that evaluation whether is malignant should be made by histological diagnosis. Thoracoscopic resection less invasive clinically useful approach to treat such tumors
