摘要: This is the first case of gastric schwannoma that exhibited increased accumulation [(18)F] fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) on positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. The patient was a 60-year-old woman in whom esophagogastroduodenoscopy showed submucosal tumor, about 25 mm size, upper body stomach, with ulceration at top tumor. Endoscopic ultrasonography revealed well-defined hypoechoic mass located proper muscle layer stomach. specimen taken from tumor only inflammatory degenerative tissue. Abdominal computed FDG-PET FDG uptake (standardized value [SUV] max 5.8) coincident Hence, diagnosed initially as gastrointestinal stromal Laparoscopic partial gastrectomy performed. Pathological examination consisted spindle cells large nuclei, and mitosis absent. Ki-67 labeling index 4%. Immunohistochemically, positive reaction for S-100 protein, whereas they were negative KIT, CD 34, alpha-smooth actin protein. benign schwannoma. Gastric should be included differential diagnosis tumors stomach uptake.
