摘要: The emetic (retching and vomiting) reflex is an important component of the body's defence system against accidentally ingested toxins emesis also a common symptom disease side-effect number pharmacological therapies. development has been subject few systematic studies. aim this study was to characterise in Suncus murinus (the house musk shrew) using stimuli acting via three different afferent pathways: motion vestibular system, pyrogallol abdominal vagal afferents resiniferatoxin (a capsaicin analog) brainstem. not present any stimulus prior postnatal day 10 but onset response lagged behind that other being until 15. Body weight determinant presence reflex. It proposed delayed makes it ideal species which investigate factors regulating its development.
