摘要: Susceptibility to autoimmune diseases results from the encounter of a complex and long evolved genetic context with no less changing environment. Major actors in maintaining health are regulatory T cells (Treg) that primarily dampen large subset autoreactive lymphocytes escaping thymic negative selection. Here, we directly asked whether Treg participate defining susceptibility resistance Experimental Autoimmune Prostatitis (EAP). We analyzed three common laboratory strains mice presenting different prostatitis upon immunization prostate proteins. The NOD, C57BL/6 BALB/c can be classified along disease score ranging severe, mild undetectable, respectively. Upon transient depletion at induction phase EAP, each model showed an increment this score, most remarkably switching resistant susceptible phenotype. further show associates upregulation CXCR3 expression on effector cells, process requiring IFNγ. Together recent advances environmental factors affecting Treg, these findings provide likely cellular molecular explanation rise incidence.
