Iron Status and Iron Deficiency Anemia in Patients with Febrile Seizure

摘要: : Background Febrile seizure is the most common form of and iron deficiency prevalent nutritional in children. Pathogenesis this type not well known, but several factors including genetic predisposition, lack elements such as zinc, magnesium are implicated its occurrence. The objective study to determine status anemia patients with febrile referred “Ali-Ebn-e-Abitaleb hospital” Zahedan 2010.Materials Methods This case-control was conducted on 50 children illness a control group age range 6-72 months. Both groups were identical terms gender. After obtaining demographic information based clinical examination, history contained documents, complete blood cells count, red cell indices serum ferritin performed for all patients.Results average case 25.28±17.26 26.12±20.04 months, respectively. Mean values hemoglobin, hematocrit, mean volume, plasma levels lower than group, difference statistically significant. number suffered from groups, 22(44%) 18(36%), respectively.Conclusion Considering significant differences between prevalence, it suggested that careful evaluation RBC should be done only each patient.
