摘要: Abstract A side distillation column is widely used to separate multicomponent mixtures into three products. However, this kind of consumes considerable amounts energy due thermodynamic restrictions and the nature process. Retrofit a dividing wall (DWC) can result in significant savings. This study evaluated systematic method for optimal retrofit stream DWC. The minimum requirement separation mixture was feasibility study. Subsequently, design optimization performed using shortcut, rigorous response surface methodology. One case illustrated demonstrate proposed results showed that DWC could not only save amount energy, but also increase capacity. highlights potential retrofitting from techno economic point view.
