摘要: While higher levels of dispositional optimism are associated with decreased psychopathology and pain, mental health functioning—important outcomes in opioid treatment programs—a paucity studies has examined among individuals use disorders. The aim this study was to examine the clinical correlates (i.e., psychopathology, pain status) dependent patients enrolled methadone maintenance (MMT). A survey targeting demographics, administered 150 MMT patients. In multivariable analyses, were significantly lower depression, screened personality disorder criteria, symptoms PTSD, pain-related emotional strain. comparison those without a history chronic non-cancer related physical lasting at least 3 months), who reported either lifetime or current exhibited optimism. associations optimism, strain suggest that research focusing on efficacy specific interventions promote is warranted.
