摘要: Effective conservation requires addressing three fundamental questions whose answers can only be sought in practice: (1) What should our goals and how do we measure progress reach- ing them? (2) How most effectively take action to achieve conservation? (3) learn better? This essay provides a conceptual framework research agenda for science that uses the principles of adaptive management answer these questions. The is based on general model project. target involves defining specific area or population project trying influence. affected by direct indirect threats opportu- nities; provide table potential threats. Conservation actions are taken counter divided into approaches, strategies, tools; present comprehensive po- tential approaches. Finally, practicioners include individuals, organizations, alliances, networks; define functional roles necessary effective management. We then use this outline in- volves clear practical measures success, determining sound guiding using strategies tools, developing knowledge skills individuals orga- nizations good thus making more effective.
