Genotypic diversity and antifungal susceptibility of Cryptococcus neoformans isolates from paediatric patients in China.

摘要: Cryptococcosis is a life-threatening mycosis primarily occurring in adult patients particularly those with immunosuppression such as HIV infection/AIDS. The number of reported cases paediatric cryptococcosis has increased the last decade around world, including China. However, current information on characteristics children, genotypic diversity and antifungal susceptibility isolates, limited. In present study, total 25 isolates Cryptococcus neoformans were genotyped using ISHAM-MLST scheme. vitro to agents 22 was tested CLSI M27-A3 method. Our analyses revealed that C. from Chinese low, ST 5 (80%) 31 (12%) being two major sequence types. Reduced fluconazole (FLU), 5-flucytosine (5-FC) itraconazole (ITR) observed among patients, ST5 which similar observations made patients. addition, majority (3/4, 75%) obtained deceased showed decreased susceptibility, indicates further monitoring warranted management cryptococcosis.
