摘要: Human derived composite amnion-chorion membrane (ACM) has been used to facilitate wound healing due reported anti-inflammatory properties and promotion of cell proliferation. This study aimed assess the antimicrobial ACM using novel methods visualize efficacy membranes in situ at different time points. Porcine Pericardium Collagen Membranes (PPCM) served as controls. Circular pieces were three assays: insert, agar contact glass-bottom well assays. Streptococcus gordonii spotted onto plates subsequently centrifuged ensure direct bacterial with insert assays, thus better mimicking adherence oral cavity. After incubation 37 °C for 8, 24, 48 hours, dyed Live/Dead BacLight Bacterial Viability fluorescence stain analyzed via confocal microscopy. The results demonstrated that completely inhibited growth all points, whereas PPCM did not demonstrate any properties. Within limits this study, showed extremely high against streptococci. In addition, our may be useful assessing biomaterials minimum diffusion ability, when traditional assessment are applicable.
