摘要: Proventriculitis in broilers causes carcass condemnation when swollen proventriculi tear during evisceration. The cause of this proventriculitis is unknown, but several infectious agents have been associated with it. One such agent, bursal disease virus (IBDV), has implicated as a proventriculitis, direct effect on the proventriculus not proven. role IBDV may be indirect result its ability to immunosuppression. objective study was understand how immunosuppression affects incidence broiler chickens. Immunosuppression induced commercial and specific-pathogen-free chickens using chemicals (cyclophosphamide cyclosporin) or (IBDV). All groups were then exposed proventricular homogenate produced from diseased birds. At 7 14 days postinoculation, these compared that by exposure immunocompetent broilers. birds developed proventriculitis. Cyclophosphamide IBDV, both B cell suppressors, did significantly affect characteristics observed, although they an size at postinoculation. Chickens immunosuppressed cyclosporin, T suppressor, more severe lesions had higher These findings indicate cells are involved immune response against cell-mediated immunity appears important controlling disease. humoral cellular chicken, so under experimental conditions it didn't major explain why control field seems reduce
