摘要: Abstract The huge gulf between the high photon fluxes available from synchrotrons and capabilities of detectors to measure resulting photon, electron or ion signals is well known. Whilst accelerator technology continues advance at a rapid pace, it detector performance which represents limiting factor for many synchrotron experiments. In some cases there are still single channel counting based on 40-year-old designs operational beamlines. dream researchers able simultaneously image perform spectroscopy required data rates. A solution massive integration parallel electronics into pixel by basis. These ideas have been in gestation very years awaiting sufficient funding, nevertheless, several prototypes now testing stage. current status these other developments targeted science briefly reviewed.
