摘要: The photocatalytic degradation of wastewater containing three industrial dyes belonging to different families, methyl orange (MO), methylene blue (MB) and Rhodamine B (RhB), was studied under UV-Vis irradiation using synthesised silver chloride nanoparticles. nanocatalyst prepared by a dissolution/reprecipitation method starting from the bulk powder ionic liquid trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium chloride, [P 6 14 ]Cl, without addition other solvents. obtained catalyst characterised absorbance, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy scanning microscopy. decolourisation samples absorbance at corresponding wavelength. Starting 10 ppm dye solutions 1 g L −1 AgCl nanoparticles, efficiencies 98.4% for MO, 98.6% MB 99.9% RhB, were achieved in h. mechanisms studied. Comparison with frequently used nanocatalysts, namely P-25 Degussa, TiO 2 anatase, Ag ZnO, highlights strong catalytic activity Under same experimental conditions, these nanoparticles led higher (more than 10%) faster degradations.
