摘要: Abstract Calcium phosphate bioceramics including glass-ceramics and hydroxyapatite have been manufactured investigated for implantation purposes. Three glass systems were selected based on CaO P 2 O 5 an inert metal oxide (either Ta , TiO or Nb ). Different compositions found giving crystal phases in a glassy matrix. These tested strength with 4-point bending, the biocompatibility ascertained using vitro vivo tests. The containing glass-ceramic showed bone apposition was to be suitable material implantation. Hydroxyapatite produced wet method it that pH during reaction dispersivity of Ca(OH) influence purity powder. controlled by addition ammonium hydroxide precipitate. sprayed onto grit blasted titanium low strengths 20–30 MPa adhesive failure but increased 60–70 MPa intermediate layer. Composites exhibited higher than value 100–120 MPa.
