摘要: Abstract Glass of composition 40SiO 2 –20B O 3 –30CaO–10M (M = Al, Cr, Y and La) were prepared by the splat quenching technique to investigate effect M on their bioactivity, structural optical properties. Cr containing glasses formed a crystalline hydroxyapatite (HA) layer after dipping in simulating body fluid (SBF) for 25 days. On other hand, HA could not form Al La glasses. However, during soaking SBF solution, these exhibit higher dissolution rate, lower density increased band gap as compared unsoaked Their oxygen molar volume was also than The change affects cross-link formation glass matrix finally its durability bioactivity SBF. results show that plays an important role controlling chemical
