摘要: The ultrastructure of the cell envelope E. coli was examined in thin sections. Observations were carried out on K12 infected with μ 2 bacteriophage, as well normal and B. (cell wall + cytoplasmic membrane) appears to be composed several layers, viz., proceeding from outside: (1) a triple-layered membrane 50–55 thick (L membrane); (2) layer, at times resolvable globular elements (G layer); (3) an electron transparent layer 40–45 (M (4) (50–55 thick). In complete cells ghosts detachment occurs level M leaving both G) compound stratum apparently intact. shape bacterium is maintained when reduced L G components, but it lost also disintegrates. Cells delimited only by are deformed often swollen. These data discussed relation chemical structural results other authors.
