摘要: [1] Both the Colorado State University (CSU) and Goddard superparameterization GCM (SP-GCM) simulate a superactive Asian summer monsoon with unrealistically enhanced levels of precipitation. The underlying physical mechanism for this bias in CSU SP-GCM is shown to involve an convection-wind-evaporation feedback. feedback process studied using two experiments different fixed specifications surface evaporation. A regional analysis area that exhibits excessive precipitation offers glimpse transient nature Finally, we discuss broader relevance study climate modeling.
