摘要: The metabolic reaction rate vector is a bridge that links gene and protein expression alterations to the phenotypic endpoint. We present simple approach for estimation of flux distribution at key branch points in network by using substrate uptake, metabolite secretion rate, biomass growth transketolase (tkt) deficient Bacillus pumilus ATCC 21951. find glucose-6-phosphate (G6P) pseudo catabolic/anabolic are flexible d-ribose-producing tkt strain B. pumilus. normalized through pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) varied from 1.5 86 % under different conditions, thereby enabling substantial extracellular accumulation d-ribose certain conditions. Interestingly, PPP was affected concentration dissolved oxygen concentration. This flexibility may have been underlying reason this being selected thousands others screening producers conducted 1970s.
