摘要: Cervical cancer remains a major threat to women’s health, followed by the endometrial cancer. Ovarian is second most common of female genital tract, but accounts for over half all deaths related gynecologic neoplasms. The disease typically has vague symptoms that are often ignored, and it therefore usually diagnosed at an advanced stage. Prognosis strongly stage initial diagnosis. In pretreatment setting, accurate staging assessment prognostic factors crucial determining optimal treatment modality in these diseases. Integrated 18FDG PET/CT been used successfully not only diagnosis also restaging, therapy monitoring, prediction ovarian gynecological as well various other malignant tumors. This chapter aimed evaluating role functional imaging with PET management cancer, discussing its usefulness limitations compared radiological methods patients.
