摘要: Summary. Coagulation activity and whole-blood viscosity were measured in the steady state, serially during painful crisis, eight patients with sickle-cell anaemia. Platelet coagulation activation occurred state became more pronounced early crisis. Whole-blood increased crisis parallel plasma fibrinogen. Similar changes found a study of 20 localized bacterial or viral infection who did not have Reports platelet activation, hypercoagulability, hyperviscosity therefore reflect secondary arising from vascular stasis, precipitating infection, an acute-phase protein reaction. Although secondary, these may contribute to occlusion by additive effect vessels already partially occluded sickled cells.
