Peripheral nerve grafting in the spinal cord: a histological and electrophysiological study

摘要: Excision of the dorsal columns was used to create a lesion in spinal cord. The defect bridged using peripheral nerve graft. Silver staining showed grafts being invaded by axons. Neuronal tracing injecting horseradish peroxidase into graft origin these fibres be root ganglia and grey matter lumbar All animals studied neurones cord caudal Five had ganglion cells. Electro-physiological assessment performed 5 6 months following grafting procedure. Evoked potentials were recorded from six above animals.
