摘要: Extra-amniotic instillation of prostaglandin F2α (PGF)2α) was used for induction abortion in 100 cases. The gestational age varied between 8 and 16 weeks. common side effects were pelvic cramps, nausea vomiting during the first hour after instillation, but these complications never serious. success rate 81 per cent 24 hours. When failure exceeded hours, surgical termination pregnancies performed. plasma levels progesterone did not show any uniform variations although there an insignificant decrease prior to abortion. results might indicate that with a more suitable vehicle, extra-amniotic administration PGF2α would be superior both saline rivanol.
