Evaluation of the Monkey-Persimmon environmental education program for reducing human-wildlife conflicts in Nagano, Japan

摘要: Co-existing with wildlife and maintaining rural livelihoods are common challenges in remote villages Japan. The authors assess the effects of Monkey-Persimmon Environmental Education Program developed to reduce conflicts revitalize a community Nagano Prefecture. Development logic model helped guide interviews staff villagers about program outcomes. Household revealed that 83% respondents knew and, these, 90% had positive attitudes toward activities. Recommendations monitor improve based on environmental, economic, social components education for sustainable development.
