摘要: Cities are complex socioecological systems that particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change and also exposed other trends, such as urbanization population aging. Due changing climate, days with extreme temperatures expected become more numerous, which is important for urban areas, where heat island phenomenon observed. This study presents an example a spatially explicit potential impact assessment heatwaves integrating both science stakeholder participation three large Czech cities (Prague, Brno, Pilsen). Stakeholder exercises were used prioritize risks, provide impetus opportunity knowledge co-production, support adaptation planning. Potential in current baseline (1981–2010) future (2021–2040) using Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs)—RCP 4.5 RCP 8.5, mapped at two levels describing “in-city” “inter-city” comparison. When comparing across (“inter-city”), most affected city 10.5% its area very high category RCPs. The comparison shows differences between scenarios each city. heatwaves’ was further
