摘要: Conventional iliac crest nonvascularized corticocancelous bone grafts and flaps have been used to treat bony defects. However, these treatments some limitations, namely, the availability of donor tissue, site morbidity, difficulty shape flap defect, complexity surgery. The morphogenetic protein (rhBMP-2) is osteoinductive. its implantation requires a matrix (carrier) in order define resulting retain at for time required induction occur. When ideal carrier found, an unlimited supply material would be available all applications where needed. In this vitro study, we evaluated suitability potential carriers rhBMP-2 by measuring alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity fibroblast cultures. Either or sodium carboxymethylcellulose significantly increased ALP activity, when alone. was combined with rhBMP-2, there increase but lower than those obtained products were Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose alone did not affect activity. combination hydroxypropylmethylcellulose despite presence rhBMP-2. Aluminium hydroxide proved unsuitable adsorbent.
