摘要: Onychomycosis is a fungal infection mostly induced by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton rubrum. Due to slow nail growth, the treatment takes 3-9 months depending on size and infected area. Hence, high efficacy of active ingredient without systemic side effects major interest. To test an antifungal formulation, appropriate in vitro model reflecting vivo situation close possible required. In this study, variety formulations, i.e., commercial ones (Ciclopoli Lamisil cream), those used compounding pharmacies (Pentravan) well poloxamer 407-based systems, have been evaluated plate model. The pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) were ciclopirox olamine terbinafine hydrochloride. formulations consisted 407, double distilled water, propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, medium chain triglycerides either 1% or hydrochloride API, respectively.
