摘要: A phylogenetic survey of brain myelin ganglioside patterns and concentrations has been carried out on 16 vertebrate species. Gangliosides were isolated from purified found to vary in concentration 25 micrograms sialic acid per 100 mg for goldfish a value 395 turkey. The latter species had approximately equivalent amounts GM1 GM4 as the two major gangliosides. 11 mammals studied all ganglioside, with variable GM4; rhesus monkey human 20-25% GM4, whereas others less than 10%.
