摘要: A review of the literature on car drivers' skills and attitudes towards motorcyclists was undertaken. Important factors in perception road include A-frame obscuration, movement conspicuity. Wider objects road, such as cars are more rapidly perceived than narrow motorcycles (spatial frequency effect). Driver can indirectly influence whether drivers make all appropriate visual checks it is suggested that speed may be an important mediating variable. Going through a junction at reduces time available for checks. Whether driver realises they looking motorcycle subtle question. In theory could look directly yet not perceive (looked but failed to see error). Drivers' empathy with motorcyclist's plight considered important.
