摘要: Abstract The accumulation of iron by rat liver cell suspensions appears to be a diffusion controlled process. Activation energies are considerably lower than those characteristic metabolically mediated processes. Inhibitor studies indicate that this process is independent the cell's respiratory energy. Experiments with surfactants and freeze-thaw procedures demonstrate membrane not rate limiting barrier entry iron. Iron sorbed onto an entity within cell. This saturable may similar ferritin heretofore suggested as binding component. Initial involves nucleus which was identified staining radioautographic initial site for greatest incorporation.
