摘要: Summary Objective To assess the diagnostic performance of ultrasound (US) for calcium pyrophosphate deposition (CPPD) at level menisci, hyaline cartilage (HC), tendons, and synovial fluid (SF) knee, to examine inter- intra-observer reliability. Design We consecutively included patients with knee effusion over a 2-year period (43 CPPD 131 controls). All underwent SF analysis, conventional radiography (CR), US examination using Outcome Measures in Rheumatology (OMERACT) definition characteristics CPPD. Two independent operators performed US, inter-observer agreement was calculated. Intra-observer examined static images obtained all enrolled patients. Results revealed (CPP) deposits HC, tendon more frequently than control The presence CPP not significantly different between two groups. Combined evaluation three components (menisci, tendon) showed best performance. sensitivity specificity were 74.4% 77.1%, respectively, while CR evaluation, 44.2% 96.9%, respectively. Inter- excellent medial (κ = 0.930, 0.972) lateral menisci (κ = 0.905, 0.942), HC (κ = 0.844, 0.957), (κ = 0.817, 0.925). Tendon fair (κ = 0.532) good reliability (κ = 0.788). Conclusions Based on OMERACT definition, demonstrated better capacity diagnose CPPD, accuracy.
