摘要: This study sampled sperm from wild Atlantic salmon to explore relationships between form and function. Detailed measurements of morphometry (head, flagellum total length) activity (longevity % motility) were made 24 reproductively active males (13 anadromous 11 mature parr) on two occasions post-stripping. There was significant between-male variance in length but this not related body size. Despite length, no found a male's or his length. also head flagellar evidence for trade-off numbers. It is suggested that the supports diploid control spermatogenesis: haploid expression phenotype would be manifested as profound within (and between) each spermatozoal characteristics.
