摘要: This research presents an integrated study of 2D seismic reflections and calibrated well data to outline the structural development Gorgan Plain on border South Caspian hydrocarbon basin, in Alborz Kopeh-dagh ranges northeast Iran. Eight horizons, including two unconformities, have been identified, ranging age from Early Jurassic Quaternary. Analysis interpretation geophysical provide understanding geology Plain, crucial for investigation traps. Seismic indicates features such as deep reverse listric faults (inverted normal faults) older formations; strike-slip younger sequences; dome basin interference patterns folding all top formations. Well demonstrate occurrence a disconformity at base Upper Cretaceous beds angular unconformity Paleogene. Evidence identified seismic-reflection proves complex pattern tectonic phases since Jurassic. It seems reasonable suppose that these are related change direction compression, which turn has produced traps crests domes area.
