摘要: The innovative concept of transnasal evaporative cooling for therapeutic hypothermia in cardio-pulmonary-cerebro-resuscitation has implications with evidence rapid and selective brain cooling; however, this author wants to elicit that may hold answers many physiological phenomena which have not been explored or completely understood up till now. To affirm the role cooling, non-invasive temperature monitoring can help investigators explore understand following pathophysiological phenomena: (1) understanding correlation sinus headache secondary nasal blockade, (2) exploring oxygen prevention delirium intubated patients, (3) realizing impact controlled enclosed environments on mood affect inhabitants, (4) etio-pathogenesis claustrophobia after excluding confounding factors morbid obesity, severe cardiopulmonary disease incapacitating musculoskeletal diseases, (5) anthropological male pattern moustache, beard hair loss, (6) possible development a coolant moustache as proposed by author. In summary, pathophysiology offers promising lines fruitful research non-olfactory functions nose human beings.
