摘要: This paper reports a provocative and novel observation. Specifically, we have shown that in ring doves, following brief period of courtship, cells the immune system - mast cells- appear brain. is surprising it has long been thought blood brain-barrier prevents movement blood-borne into parenchyma The conditions under which these appear, their chemical ultrastructural features potential neuroendocrine signalling functions are discussed.
