摘要: During the past several decades, operative mortality rate for elective repair of aortic aneurysms has markedly decreased, declining from 21% in surgical series carried out 1950s to under 5% as reported modern studies [1–5]. Lower extremity occlusive disease with ischemic tissue loss, which once mandated limb amputation, can now be treated either interventional techniques or bypass surgery, resulting favorable salvage rates [6]. Finally, despite advances intensive care and resuscitation, severe, acute arterial injury penetrating blunt vascular trauma remained a challenging problem, especially when central injuries aor-toiliac subclavian arteries are involved [7–9].
