摘要: Community-acquired pneumonia continues to be an important complication of HIV infection. Rates decrease with the use antiretroviral therapy but continue higher than in uninfected individuals. Risk factors for include low blood CD4+ count, unsuppressed plasma load, smoking, injection drug and renal impairment. Immunization against Streptococcus pneumoniae smoking cessation can reduce this risk. It is unclear whether newly reported viral respiratory pathogens (such as Middle East syndrome coronavirus, will more a problem HIV-infected individuals general population.
